About Artist

I was born in South Korea, and also educated and received the bachelor of Fine Art degree and M.F.A from Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea.

While working at school as an art teacher for 15 years, I had had many exhibitions.

I moved to Toronto, Canada in 1999 and have been creating and showing many paintings so far.

The theme of my paintings expresses the relationships between humans and nature. Life is the blessing and joy and love, which provide me with inspiration and passion to create.

I rely on my sense of sight and thought and imagination that goes beyond the visibility. Various materials and method are chosen to convey my inner most thought, depending on whatever the subject that I wish to address.

I feel free during my work of art. It is a real pleasure for me to search and create the beauty of life.

To paint is the process to learn the nature and peoples and is to pursue the real meaning of life. Further it is the journey to find the eternal truth, goodness and beauty.
